“It was just another night, and I was getting ready to go to sleep. I set my alarm, shut the lights, and locked all my doors…or so I thought. At approximately 5:00AM, my alarm sounded and startled me. I jumped from bed and ran to my keypad—two zones were breached including my front door. Obviously very scared, I froze, but eventually mustered the courage to creep toward a second-floor window to peek outside to see what I could glimpse. To my confusion, I didn’t find a burglar, but rather a marked patrol car. There was a licensed guard in my driveway in uniform with a flashlight investigating my residence. I opened my window to him confirming if I was OK. He had already dispatched police who were on route to my home. What I learned from my Incident Report was that a burglar opened my unlocked front door to sneak in, but the alarm sounded and sent him running. The response from GlobalTek was so fast that by the time I crept to the window, the burglar was gone, and the patrol guard had arrived. They got there inside of 60 seconds. I couldn’t believe it. But how did they arrive so fast? I learned that GlobalTek uses app-based Uber-style guards who are always patrolling. When my alarm sounded, the closet one was dispatched for rapid response. The guard confirmed the alarm was real, dispatched police, and the perpetrator was apprehended within the hour. To say that GlobalTek ‘saved my life’ may be farfetched, but it isn’t far off.
