Press Release – GlobalTek Security acquires OBN Security’s Kelguard division

GlobalTek Security acquires OBN Security’s Kelguard division

August 24, 2020

By SP&T Staff

GlobalTek Security Inc., a privately-owned GTA-based security and surveillance company, announced that it has fully acquired the Kelguard division of OBN Security & Investigative Consultants Inc.

Lee Melarangeli, managing partner at GlobalTek, and director of residential & commercial programs, said in a statement, “As our growth story continues nation-wide with the launch of our dealer program in 2019, this acquisition adds additional market penetration right here in our own back-yard, further increasing our brand presence locally, as we continue our national initiatives Canada-wide. Acquisitional growth, along with our dealer program, will remain a large part of our business model for the foreseeable future.”
William Valdez, vice-president of OBN Security & Investigative Consultants Inc., added, “OBN Security continues to focus on its core service offerings of uniformed security guards, mobile patrol response, and private investigations. We are excited about the opportunity to transition the Kelguard accounts to GlobalTek, a prominent security provider, ensuring that our former clients receive the highest level of customer service with a provider they can trust.“

Aaron Kozlowski, managing partner at GlobalTek, and director of IT & operations, said, “While this acquisition increases our subscriber base in the Southern Ontario Region to be certain, it’s had the secondary benefit of further streamlining our service department, allowing for these customers, as well as our pre-existing in the same territories, access to faster, more affordable service.”
